SMS Enrollment Options
1. Employee Record
Manual enrollment one at a time
2. SMS Conversion Report
Mass enrollment, by Business unit, etc.
3. Mobile app self-enrollment, if using Mobile Callout
Employee must be granted the ability to login to the Mobile App and edit account devices
Security option must be configured to allow Self Enrollment
4. HRI1 Employee Loader, if applicable
Option 1: Include Record Type 202/SMS Enabled in file
Option 2: System can be configured to enroll all valid devices automatically
5. API (Application Program Interface), if applicable
EMPLOYEE RECORD
1. Verify/Enter valid cell phone number
2. Select Cell Phone
3. Click SMS box to select a checkmark
a. NOTE: Click “Save Data” at bottom of the screen to send the opt-in message
4. A confirmation text message will be sent to the employee’s cell phone
a. Employee replies START or OK to verify the cell phone and complete the SMS enrollment
b. Employee can reply STOP to opt-out of the SMS enrollment
5. SMS Statuses:
a. PENDING: Opt-in message was sent, but employee has not yet replied
b. VERIFIED: Opt-in message was sent, and employee replied START or OK to confirm
c. FAILED: Opt-in in message was sent, but not delivered due to bad number
-Example: Landline, non-cell number, virtual 6155551212vtext.com, etc.
d. INVALID: Opt-in message was sent, but not delivered due to a fictious number
-Example: (111) 111-1111
e. BLOCKED: Employee replied STOP during the initial enrollment, or later to opt-out
-Employee can opt back in at any time by sending START or OK to the SMS number
-SMS number is displayed in the bottom right corner of the ARCOS screens
SMS CONVERSION REPORT
1. Click Reports
2. Click Other Reports
3. Click SMS Conversion Report
4. Click Filter Report, if applicable
5. Select All
a. Disabled or Verified are optional views
6. Click Generate Report
7. View the status of the SMS enrollment
8. View the Verification Source (SMS)
a. Update Employee Record, as applicable (cannot access Employee Record from the report)
9. Click Enable SMS to prepare to send opt-in message (can do multiple at a time, or all)
10. Click Remove Email, if applicable (this will delete the Email from the Employee Record)
11. Click Save to send enrollment opt-in SMS to selected Employees
a. The Employee Record will reflect the new Status
MOBILE APP SELF-ENROLLMENT
1. Click My Account
2. Click Devices
3. Click Devices
4. Verify phone number
5. Verify Cell Phone Type
6. Click SMS toggle to enable
7. If applicable, click Re-Verify if problems when previously enrolling
8. Click Save to send opt-in message
9. The Employee will receive the opt-in message and reply with START or OK
MISCELLANEOUS
Below are the response options for the SMS Reply message, and these cannot be modified at this time:
