On the Employee Administration ADD and MODIFY pages, there is an additional selection in the Call Order Sequence field dropdown titled Standby. Selecting the Standby Call Order Sequence for a device identifies the device as the Standby device which will be the first device called when an employee appears on a Standby Roster list. The Standby device may be a phone or a pager and may be the same as another device designated as active and given an alternate Call Order Sequence.
The Roster Preference, StbyDev, in the Callout Options table on the Roster List Admin page must be enabled (checked) in order for ARCOS to call the employee's designated Standby device when the roster is selected for callout. When a callout to a Standby list is initiated, ARCOS builds the call list with the Standby device first in the Call Order Sequence, followed by any remaining devices.
On the Callout Create/Edit page in the Manual Bypass Results section, the Standby device is listed first, followed by other active devices for the employee. All employees on the roster will be given an entry in the Manual Bypass Results section of the Callout Create/Edit page for a standby device, even if that entry is "No Device 0", indicating that the employee does not have a Standby device defined. The Standby device has a designated sub-attempt of "0" on the Callout Detail Report. And, when viewing any Roster, the Standby device number appears with an "S" in the Active column if the employee has a Standby device defined.
