- “Must Assign Reason for Overtime when Removing Break from Shift”
Time & Attendance Enhancements
RAPD-8900 - Added Ability to Create Shift Extension
ARCOS has updated the Prior Pay Correction functionality to allow Time Keepers to create a shift extension after payroll has been processed.
Clicking the New Correction button available in the Prior Pay Corrections pop-up opens the Prior Pay Correction window for the selected user and week. Clicking the Edit Shift option from the selected shift menu opens the Edit Shift window allowing the Time Keeper to adjust the Start and/or End time of the shift.
An Overtime Reason can be selected if necessary and/or required depending on the Rule Sets defined by a Company Administrator.
See the NOTE below for more information on how the associated Rule Sets are applied.
NOTE: The following Rule Sets define when a Shift Extension can be created:
- If the ”Require an extension shift when lengthening a shift” Shift Rule Setting is enabled, when a Time Keeper lengthens a shift, an extension will be created.
- If the ”Require an extension shift when lengthening a shift” Shift Rule Setting is disabled, a Time Keeper can optionally create a shift extension.
- If the ”Require an extension shift when lengthening a shift” Shift Rule Setting is disabled, a Time Keeper can lengthen a shift without creating an extension unless the Shift Rule Set “Supervisor Must Assign Reason for Overtime when Removing Break from Shift” is enabled and the shift was lengthened by removing a break.
- If the “Must Assign Reason for Overtime” Shift Rule Setting is enabled, the Time Keeper must specify an overtime reason when lengthening a shift.
- If “Must Assign Reason for Overtime” Shift Rule Setting is disabled, the Time Keeper can optionally specify an overtime reason when lengthening a shift.
- When removing a break and the “Supervisor Must Assign Reason for Overtime when Removing Break from Shift” Shift Rule Setting is enabled and the resulting shift is longer than the original shift, the Time Keeper must select an OT reason.
- When a Time Keeper creates a shift extension and an OT Reason is selected, then the hours will be added to the OT Bank.
- When a Time Keeper creates a shift extension and an OT Reason is not selected, then the hours will not be added to the OT Bank.
- When editing a shift, if the Time Keeper selects “Mark Shift Absent” or “Mark Shift PTO”, they will be unable to change the Shift Start/End times. If they have changed the shift times before selecting “Mark Shift Absent” or “Mark Shift PTO”, these changes will be disregarded.
RAPD-10891 - Time and Attendance Settings Page Update
ARCOS has updated the Time and Attendance Settings page by adding a Calculator section which includes the Accrual Calculators link and reordering the links to alphabetize within the Payroll section.
RAPD-10462 - Updated Display Order Fields
ARCOS has updated all Display Order fields within the Time and Attendance configuration screens to be empty by default rather than “0” as previously displayed.
In the case of a new item being added, the Display Order field is not required. If left blank, the system will auto-assign the next available number.
