This feature works in conjunction with the 911 Emergency callout type to provide the ability to manually choose a callout sequence "on-the-fly" without affecting the normal call order sequence. Not all companies have this functionality.
When the 911 Emergency callout type is selected for a callout, the On-the-Fly Temporary Roster List ordering feature is enabled. When you select the roster list or lists to be included in the callout and click Submit in the Roster Picker, an ARCOS Feature Note dialog box displays, informing you that the feature is active. A column, titled Manual Order, replaces the standard Ord column in the Manual Bypass Section of the callout screen and all rows in the Manual Bypass Section for rosters selected for callout are initially disabled.
To make an employee available for the callout, click the Manual Order box next to the employee name. Numbers displays in the Manual Order boxes based on the order in which you click the boxes, allowing you to make only the selected employees available for the callout. If you select an employee who is unavailable due to another schedule exception, you will receive a warning, which you can override by right-clicking on the Call checkbox for that individual.
The following rules are observed with regard to manually ordering employees for a 911 Emergency type callout:
-
Rows in the Manual Bypass Table that do not have a manual order number entered will remain disabled for the callout. Therefore, employees in these rows will not be called (even if their status is Available) and no call results will be entered for them; they employees not selected for the callout will also not be displayed in the callout list.
-
Duplicate manual order numbers cannot be used. If you enter duplicate numbers and click Initiate Callout, ARCOS displays an error message.
-
Sequential order positions cannot be skipped. If you enter manual order numbers but skip a position, ARCOS displays an error message.
-
ARCOS automatically attaches a Callout Note to a callout that is submitted with manual orders selected. The note states that the original call order on attempt N was overridden, followed by the first initial and last name of each person on the roster, in their original roster order. This Callout Note will be visible on the Callout Detail Report.
-
Running a Resubmit with No Preview remembers the manual call orders set in the prior attempt and calls employees in that order.
-
Running a Resubmit with Preview does not remember the manual call orders set in the prior attempt. The call order is reverted to the original roster order and the Manual Order fields are blank.
