There are two methods ARCOS can call employees when they have either two or three devices: Horizontal or Vertical. Horizontal calling calls each of an employee's devices before calling the next employee. Vertical calling calls only the first device of each employee until it has called all employees on the roster. If the number of required employees has not been met, then ARCOS starts at the top of the list and calls the second device of each employee. Companies can choose whether they wish to use Horizontal or Vertical calling. An example of each is shown below.
