Reported issues with contractor’s Email/Telephone number not updating from Resource Assist to Crew Manager
Solution
There is a functionality in Resource Assist, “Requested Roster Update."
The Utility creates the corresponding phone/email attributes in Crew Manager to accept the contractors updates from the Requested Roster Update feature. The contractor will not have to release and reallocate the crew member to receive updated contact details.
First, create attributes in Crew Manager to hold the updated Contractor contact details after allocation.
(For the below example, UpdatedEmail and UpdatedPhone are the new attributes)
Then, add thew new attributes to the Resource Assist Attribute Group (Resource Assist>Administration>Attribute Groups). Allow for these attributes to be updated by checking the “Enable Responding Partner Editing” box.
Crew Manager and Resource Assist
1. Contact information is sent to Crew Manager when a crew is allocated in Resource Assist. In this example there are two members for this crew:
- Test Arcos - Phone=(111)111-1111 Email=OldEmail@arcos.com
- Test2 Arcos - Phone=(111)111-1111 Email=OldEmail@Gmail.com
2. The updates the Contractor adds in Requested Roster Updates (Resources>Requested Roster Updates>Request) will automatically flow in Crew Manager.
(The updated phone and email automatically sent to Crew Manager)
Note: This will NOT permanently update the Phone/Email in employee's record.
3. For example, the Arcos Test profile phone-of-record is 111-111-1111 in the contractor portal (Resource Assist). That is the Phone sent to the utility (Crew Manager) when the crew allocated, and that is the phone stored in the employee record in the contractor portal. Therefore, the contractor will have to (1) update the new number by using the Requested Roster Updates page and supplying the Utility with the new number. Then (2) update the employee’s record so that NEXT time, the new number is sent to the requesting partner with the employee record.
