Awaiting Materials jobs are sent automatically to whomever is listed in the Store Room Administrators Editable table as soon as a work request has gone through Pre-Construction or immediately upon dispatch (the GO link) if Pre-Construction is not required. The work request form requires a Materials Location in this classification. Material Acceptance jobs are also sent automatically, but after Material Return is complete. The work request form requires a Materials Acceptance date in this classification.
Both of these job types have reduced icon menus given their static geographic nature within the storeroom facilities. They both get mobile notifications on assignment. Just as with the back-office screens these mobile jobs are replacing, the storeroom manager may mark-up what is available for collection and change job status to either Send to Crew or to Completed. The former triggers a Material Pickup job to be sent to the construction crew. In this Send to Crew status, the job is kept open for the storeroom manager so they can make further changes to the fulfillment status of any materials and have these communicated to the crew. Once the communication to the crew has taken place the status changes to Partially Complete. You can make more changes and re-send-to-crew as needed.
If left in this open state, Awaiting Materials jobs will be automatically closed once Post-Construction Modifications begin, denoting all field as-built changes have been made and the construction crew has moved onto other jobs. Material Acceptance jobs are for storeroom management and do not have a subsequent jobs in the workflow, Modifications has automatically begun when this storeroom job type begins.
