ARCOS is a web-based application that can be accessed from any computer that has an Internet connection and Internet Explorer (IE) 11, Safari or Chrome. In order to begin using ARCOS, you must log in using your User Log In and Password. ARCOS observes the following rules and conventions:
-
If you try to log in to ARCOS using a non-supported browser or browser version, ARCOS gives you an error message and does not permit you to log in.
-
Log ins are assigned and are case sensitive.
-
Passwords are chosen by the user and are case sensitive.
-
The initial password for your first log in is Welcome. (This is true for most customers. Check with your administrator for your company's settings.)
Note: The first time you login to ARCOS, you are prompted to change your password from the default password. It is important that you do not share your password with anyone. If someone else uses your login and makes unauthorized changes to employee data, a record of the change appears in your name and you may be held responsible.
-
Password settings and restrictions vary by company. Please see your system administrator for details on your company requirements for passwords. Generally speaking, passwords can be a combination of alpha/numeric characters and must be a minimum of 6 characters or a maximum of 12 characters long.
Note: A password such as suMm@24 is more secure than summer24. It contains upper and lower case letters, numbers, and special characters, making it more difficult for someone to guess.
-
If you get a Page Not Found error, recheck the spelling of your address. If you use an incorrect company code, you will be instructed to contact the ARCOS Support Center if you are having log in issues.
-
ARCOS has several validation checks it performs each time you log in. They include:
-
JavaScript version test - to verify your browser has the most recent version of several JavaScript files.
-
Cookie test - to confirm your browser is set to accept cookies.
-
AJAX test - to verify your browser has acknowledged a Microsoft object that needs to run.
-
Already logged into another ARCOS customer site - to prevent you from being logged into more than one ARCOS instance, if you have access to multiple ARCOS URLs.
-
Pop-up Blocker test - to verify your browser is set to allow pop-ups in ARCOS.
-
-
