While working in Crew Manager you find it difficult to keep track of the Perspectives, View Sets, and Filters which you are using. In order to better keep track of these you may utilize the Organizational Folders functionality within Crew Manager.
Solution
To create an Organizational Folder:
- Go into Crew Manager.
- Click the Edit Tag button. The Modify Tag Settings popup displays.
- Click the Object Type drop down and select Perspective, View Set or Filter.
- Click the Add button.
- Type the name of the folder and press enter. The folder will be created and listed in alphabetical order.
- Follow the same steps for the other object types if you wish to create folders in one of or all of the object types.
The folders that you created will display a key icon next to them, signifying that you are the owner.
To enable designate a folder as public:
- In order to be able to designate a folder as public, you must be the owner of the folder.
- Right click on the folder.
- Click the Make Public option. The folder now has a key icon and a globe icon, signifying that the folder is public.
Once folders have ben created, you can move the existing object types into the folders. We will use Perspectives in the following example.
To move perspectives into a Perspective folder:
- Follow the steps above to create a folder in the Perspective Object Type. All existing Perspectives will be displayed under the Uncategorized Objects folder.
- Open the Uncategorized Objects folder.
- Drag and drop a perspective into your folder.
Open your folder and you will see the perspective inside your folder.
