PINs and passwords are an integral part of the employee security features within ARCOS. They are the first line of security ARCOS uses to verify the correct people are accepting callouts, calling inbound and making changes to the correct records. However, There are times when we forget our PINs and passwords. Fortunately, ARCOS allows users to reset PINs and passwords. In ARCOS, there are two pages that allow users to reset PINs and passwords depending on the user’s security access. These pages are (1) the Employee Modify page and (2) the Password Reset page.
Solution
To reset a user’s PIN and/or password via the Employee Modify page:
- Navigate to the employee’s location.
- Click on the Modify button on the Employee tab.
- Click on the employee’s name. ARCOS displays the Employee Modify page for the employee.

- Click the Save Data button.
To reset a user’s PIN and/or password via the Password Reset page:

Note: When a user’s VRU PIN is reset, it is changed to 1234. When a user’s web password is reset, it is changed to Welcome—for most customers.
Note: ARCOS Support personnel are not authorized to reset PINs or passwords. This is not intended to be a deliberate inconvenience, but a security measure that ensures the correct employee receives the correct assistance that they need. Employees needing either their PIN or Password reset should contact their supervisor or internal help desk.
