Have you ever needed to adjust an employee’s hours on the fly or zero out a group of employees’ overtime hours? In these scenarios, the overtime hours changes may not be linked to a specific date and calculating how many hours need to be added or subtracted from the employee’s total hours may not be apparent to all users.
The Daily Overtime Entry page allows users to quickly modify employees’ total overtime hours by entering the total number of hours they should have in the total as of column. Being able to quickly adjust hours using this field can come in handy when you are unsure about when overtime hours were entered or if you need to zero out overtime hours for a specific group of employees.
Solution
To update or adjust an employee’s hours using the total as of field:
- Navigate to employee’s location in ARCOS.
- Click the Daily OT Entry button on the List Mnt tab.
Note: If the callout list containing the employee uses resequence options, you will need to determine which roster date the hours need to be updated to and use the calendar picker to select the day prior to the desired roster date. - Click on the hours in the totals as of field for the paycode needing to be modified. The hours field turns into a textbox for the selected field.
- Type the total number of hours the employee should have for the selected paycode. If zeroing out overtime hours type a zero in the total as of field for each paycode.
- Click somewhere on the page outside the of the textbox to view the updated Grand Total. ARCOS will reflect the changes that were made to the hours in the day to the left of the total as of column.
- Click the Save Data and Sort Lists button once all overtime hours changes have been made. All rosters the employee(s) is on will be updated with the new total hours.
Note: Only lists in the employee’s location will resort with new hours.
