Added EOL Message to URL Version of the Mobile App
What is changing:
ARCOS has added an End Of Life message to the URL version of the mobile app. Users will no longer have the ability to login to the mobile app via the URL address after July 14, 2022 and will only be able to access through a mobile device.
Who is involved:
All ARCOS customers will receive this update.
What you need to do:
No further action is necessary to implement this change.
New Mobile Enhancements
Integrate Biometrics in the Upcoming Mobile App
What is changing:
ARCOS has updated the New Mobile app to allow for Biometric login abilities. Users have the option to allow for fingerprint or face recognition capabilities to be used when logging into the mobile app is their device allows.
Once enabled via the Sys Admin > User Login Admin tab mobile users can Enable Biometric Login via My Account > Security page in the mobile app prompting the Biometric option to then appear on the Login page.
NOTE: Although users will see the new option in the User Login Admin page now, this update will be available only in the new Mobile UI being released in 2022. Stay tuned for the release date.
If the user has both a Fingerprint and a Face ID, the interface will let the user select which option to use. Once a successful scan is achieved, the user can log in simply by tapping the Biometrics icon After five failed scans, the user must cancel the scan attempt and try again or use a username/password combination.
