The following issues have been resolved:
RAPD-14482 - Two-way trades - Shift is not appearing even when employee's skill is effective
before the date of the shift
Related to RAPD-14337 (resolved in the 24.08 release), previously when an employee was doing a two-way trade, the list of available shifts to be received did not include ones that contained skills the employee did not have on the date of the trade. With this fix, the system will now include shifts where the employee has the required skills on the date of the shift being received.
The original fix for RAPD-14337/ZD 62812 fixed the case when an employee initiates a trade, the date of the shift being traded will be used as the effective date for checking whether an employee has the skill or not.
EVB Enhancements
RAPD-11935 - EVB - Vacation Calculation at EOY
A new setting has been added to Enhanced Vacation Bidding to allow the Location Administrator to define a different date when accruals (if used) should be deducted from an employee’s account when a vacation award is made. The new setting, Shifts from vacation weeks will deduct hours on the …, is available on the Bid Package.
When selecting the “Start of each shift” option, shifts from vacation weeks for ALL weeks throughout the year will have their hours deducted as of the start of each shift. This is the default behavior and how the system functioned prior to this feature.
When selecting the “FIRST day of that week when week is split between years” option, shifts from vacation weeks that overlap years will have their hours deducted as of the first day of that week (at 00:00). For all other weeks, hours will be deducted as of the shift start time. Note that the First Day of the week is determined by looking at the location settings.
When selecting the “LAST day of that week when week is split between years” option, shifts from vacation weeks that overlap years will have their hours deducted as of the last day of that week (at 23:59). For all other weeks, hours will be deducted as of the shift start time.
Below is sample scenario of how these settings would work:
- Employee has a balance of 40 PTO hours as of 12/30/23 (start of week)
- Employee has a balance of 80 PTO hours as of 1/1/24 (no rollover)
- Employee has been awarded vacation week of 12/30
- Employee is assigned 8 hour shifts on 12/30,12/31,1/1,1/2, and 1/3
- When publish occurs, if “FIRST day of that week when week is split between years” option is selected, then PTO balance goes to 0 as of 12/30/23. PTO balance as of 1/1/24 remains 80.
- When publish occurs, if “LAST day of that week when week is split between years” option is selected, then PTO balance remains at 40 as of 12/30/23. PTO balance as of 1/1/24 reduces to 40.
- When publish occurs, if “Start of each shift” option is selected. then PTO balances as of each day are as follows:
-
-
- 12/30/23: 32
- 12/31/23: 24
- 1/1/24: 72
- 1/2/23: 64
- 1/3/23: 56
