RAPD-13478 - California Meal Break: Multiple Breaks
ARCOS has added the ability for Company Administrators to configure multiple Meal Breaks based on
continuous hours, as to adhere to California Meal Break laws. The “Allow Multiple Breaks” checkbox appears when the Variable Length Based on Continuous Shift Rule Type is selected.
For Example:
• If the hours of continuous duty are 5 or less, there will be 1 break of 0 minutes. Meal break offset is 0.
• If the hours of continuous duty are greater than 5 and less than or equal to 10, there will be a break for 30 minutes. Meal break offset is 2.
• If the hours of continuous duty are greater than 10 and less than 99, there will be a break 30 minutes.
Meal break offset is 0.
• Employee works 4.5 hours - they receive no meal break
• Employee works 8 hours - they receive one 30 minute meal break at the 7 hour mark. If the calculated
offset is greater than the number of hours in the shift, the Meal Break will be placed at the end.
• Employee works 11 hours - they receive two 30 minute meal breaks. One at the 7 hour mark (from b) and one at the 10 hours mark (from c).
• Depending on the setting chosen for single break/multiple break, break(s) will be created.
When “Variable Length Based on Continuous Shift” is selected and configured, it allows for each Meal Break to be marked as missed by the employee separately. For instance, if employee is given two meal breaks for a shift, they are able to mark one as missed and receive the penalty without affecting the other Meal Break.
Enhanced Vacation Bidding Enhancements
RAPD-9583 - Bid Package Acknowledgment Functional Revisions
ARCOS has updated the Bid Package Acknowledgment functionality. When enabled by a Location
Administrator, a modal requiring acknowledgment will appear when an Employee views a Bid Package. If
the employee doesn’t acknowledge the Bid Package and goes to the Enhanced Vacation Bids page, the Bid Package will be displayed. However if the employee clicks on a Bid Package to reach the bid rounds, the modal will reappear requiring acknowledgment.
The Bid Acknowledgment message has been removed from the Employee’s Home page.
