The ARCOS Crew Manager leverages a company's existing ARCOS data and allows supervisors to manage their crews in an easy, visual way during blue sky and storm operations. The key design specifications for ARCOS Crew Manager include:
-
Very easy to use, simple drag and drop interface
-
Applicable for blue-sky as well as storm or emergency operations
With the ARCOS Crew Manager, the morning shuffle does not involve manually updated spreadsheets, magnets, whiteboards or pegs.
-
If Joe calls in sick, turn to the ARCOS Crew Manager. Click to change Joe’s status; drag Harry—who did not have an assignment yet today—into Joe’s now empty spot. The crew assignments are completed.
-
The garage just sent word that the Bobcat is out of commission for today. Consult ARCOS Crew Manager. If Centerburg’s Bobcat isn’t being used today—and it is not—drag Tom and his crew onto it. Centerburg’s supervisor will see your equipment change on his board immediately. Your employees can complete their work for today.
Storm Mode
During a major storm, operations personnel may struggle with disparate information sources, unavailable crew information and the lack of current data—problems which generally stem from not having a single, centralized system for crew management. The ARCOS Crew Manager provides a central repository for all of your crew information, so that operations personnel have it at their fingertips.
-
Easy transition to storm mode: Use the same tool for storms that is used every day.
-
Consistent information: All crew data is represented in a common format, so it is easy to understand the information being provided by every service center about available personnel.
-
System-wide visibility: In a storm situation, service center boundaries blur. Crews are not “mine” or “yours". They are “OURS” and they cross territories or even utilities to get the power back on. ARCOS Crew Manager lets you keep sight of all of your crews including your mutual assist crews.
-
Real-time data: Because your crew management is taking place in real time in ARCOS, a rollup of hundreds of e-mails and spreadsheets is not needed. The storm center suffers no lag time; therefore, there is no delay for management reporting.
The sub-tabs that are used within ARCOS Crew Manager:
-
Crew Manager: Contains the three Crew Manager modes: crew, lodging and lodging assignment.
-
Data Import: Allows ARCOS admins to import data sheets containing information about contract crews.
Note: Data imports can be used to import crews and member to a point in time on the time line, up to 45 days in the past.
-
Activity Report: This report allows ARCOS admins to view user activity within Crew Manager.
Note: For best results when using the ARCOS Crew Manager, it is highly recommended that users use Chrome, Safari or IE 11 or higher.
