When field employees are called by ARCOS but miss the outbound call, they can call the inbound system to accept the callout if positions are still available. Remembering the inbound number along with your employee ID and PIN at 2 o’clock in the morning can be a task in itself.
By utilizing the contacts feature in your cell phone, you can save the ARCOS inbound number along with your employee ID and PIN as a contact, with some added characters, making logging into the inbound system as simple as pressing a button. When calling the ARCOS inbound system this way, all you have to do is listen to the callout information and press 1 to accept!
Solution
To setup the ARCOS inbound system as a contact in your phone:
- Create a new contact.
- Type your company’s ARCOS inbound number in the phone field for the contact.
- Type two of the appropriate symbol for pause. (See the bottom of this page more details.) If your company does not have a company code, skip to step 6.
- Type your company’s inbound code, followed by a pound sign (#).
- Type two of the appropriate symbol for pause.
- Type your employee ID, followed by a pound sign.
- Type two of the appropriate symbol for pause.
- Type your PIN, followed by a pound sign. The number entered for the contact should look similar to the phone on the right.
- Save the contact.
Characters for Pauses:
- For iPhone and Android, use a comma to represent a pause.
- For other cell phones, try using a comma or a P for a pause. If neither of these work, try searching for pauses for your particular phone online.
