Security groups are established and assigned to each Web user so they can access functionality and screens in ARCOS. These groups also serve to limit or restrict access to certain functions and screens. Security is established on the Sys Admin>Security screen . From this screen you can view , modify, or delete security groups, check the number of employees in a group, view employees assigned to the group, view the Security Group Matrix, or create a new security group.
Note: Security Groups that are highlighted in yellow are Admin-level groups. Admin-level groups are defined as groups that have rights to Security Add, Modify, or Delete functions.
Once you establish a security group, you must go to the Employee>Modify> Security Group page to change the security level for an individual employee; you cannot assign employees to a security group from the Security Group screen. If you have access to Security Add, Security Modify, or Security Delete, you are considered to have "administrative level" privileges. You must have "administrative level" security to assign an admin level security group.
The tables on the Security screen are arranged in the same order as the ARCOS tabs on the main screen. Selecting or deselecting the Select All checkbox for a table respectively enables or disables all options in that table. If a tab has no security features available to you, the tab is hidden from view.
You can view the Admin security group, view the number of employees assigned to the group, and view the list of employees assigned to the group, but you cannot modify or delete the group. Admin security group has all available features enabled. You can build security groups that vary from full access using Admin as your model, but you cannot modify the existing Admin group.
