f the callout has been initiated, the dispatcher can still make manual entries to change callout statuses for employees. If the employee has not been called by ARCOS, he will not be connected to the job and the dispatcher will be unable to enter a manual response using this method.
Because your callout is in hold status when this window is active, ARCOS cannot make outbound calls and puts employees on hold that have called inbound. If the window was inadvertently left open without a timer, it would delay your callout until you closed the window. Therefore, there is a time limit of a total of 10 minutes, for most companies, with this function. There is a Renew button that allows you to extend the time in 2-minute increments for a total of 8 minutes beyond the original 2 minutes. ARCOS keeps track of the number of times you click the Renew button and enters a "No Result" response if you do not Accept or Decline within that time.
To Preform a Manual Response for an Employee
-
Click the Callout tab. The Callout screen displays.
-
Click Manual Resp on the Callout screen. A dropdown menu containing available members displays.
-
Click the dropdown arrow on the Available Member window.
-
Select the employee for whom you wish to respond.
Note: All employees in the current Level 4 location appear in the Member list but if there are no open jobs the employee is associated with, ARCOS displays the message, ”No Available Jobs” in the Jobs dropdown window.
-
Select the job from the Jobs (Sub-callouts) dropdown.
-
Click Accept or Decline to accept or decline the job. You receive a message on the screen that notifies you that you are currently holding the callout and you need to respond within 2 minutes. When you have 30 seconds left, the message changes to alert you again and gives you the choice to respond or click Renew for more time. If you do not respond to the message, the callout is released and you receive a message indicating this. Click here for a list of possible No Result Reasons.
