When handling duty assignments for some positions, it can often require scheduling of senior level employees (Directors and up) who must fill these key roles. To facilitate a more effective notification and scheduling tool, the goal of the Calendar Alert is to shift this information to a scheduling tool that is used daily, like Outlook Calendar.
When an employee is added or removed from a roster, the employee receives an e-mail containing a calendar invite. This allows the employees to readily know when they will be on the on-duty roster, and plan their personal and work schedules accordingly. These e-mails are sent on a per roster basis and can be enabled for only specific rosters.
To enable Calendar Alerts for a roster

Click the Roster List Ordering button on the List Mnt tab.

Click the admin link for the roster.

Check the CalendarAlert checkbox, in the General section of the roster preferences.

Click the Save Changes button.
Note: Employees will only receive a calendar alert if they have an enabled e-mail address on their employee record within ARCOS.
