Logout of the system by clicking the link in the top right corner of the window when you are finished as to guard against anyone else using your user-session to take actions on your behalf. A user-session is established by RosterApps for you each time you login. Everything you do in RosterApps is tracked and logged, but if you leave a user session open, it is impossible for RosterApps to tell that it is no longer you taking actions on shifts, etc... as it is Your User Session that is still open.
Logging out can be important however, so you should get in the habit of remembering to Logout when you are finished with RosterApps. This is especially critical when you are using a shared or public computer. Clicking on the Logout link in the upper right-hand corner of your RosterApps page will immediately end your user session.
You can be sure that you are logged-out properly if you see the RosterApps login screen.
RosterApps establishes a new User Session each time you login to the web application. Some companies that use RosterApps have a shorter time-out duration than others, and this can sometimes result in a User Session ending before you were finished. If something like this happens, you can re-establish your User Session by logging back into RosterApps.
It is a best practice to treat your RosterApps session like you would an online banking session. When you are finished, first logout of RosterApps. Next, close your web browser window. Lastly, shutdown your web browser and relaunch it if you want to continue to use it. This will ensure that your user session cannot be compromised later.
