Work Tasks Tab
In Crew Mode, the work tasks tab is generally used to view and update task status and information. The GF also has the ability to create new tasks if needed.
1. Search for a work task by entering in key information in the search bar. Examples are structure number or address.
-
To identify work task on map, select the work task in the task list, then select the “zoom” button in upper right hand corner of view. Work task will be highlighted in map.
3. To update the status or information of a work task, select the pencil button next to work task in list view. This will open up the task’s form.
-
After changing status, or updating work task information in form, select the “submit” button to save changes. Select “cancel” to close out of the form and not save changes.
5. To assign multiple work tasks at once to a crew, select the work tasks to update in the list view. Then select the “Assign” bulk update button. Finally, select a crew leader for assignment and select “Assign.”
This bulk update process can be used for Refusals, or to complete work as well.
Creating Work Tasks
Creating a Task is very similar to creating other features in the application. In Crew mode the Task and Info tabs have specific features that can be added in the map with the + Add button.
-
In the work task tab select the yellow “+ Add Task” button at top of list view.
-
Select the desired task type from drop down
Work Area: Areas are used to document tasks like mowing, brush, and herbicide that require a broader task location. Areas require at least three points when drawing in the task.
Linear Work: Lines are used to plan work like work to spec and linear work that require a distance calculation. Linear Work lines require at a minimum of two points when drawing the task.
*Note: For both Linear Work and Work Areas it is important to not create self intersecting lines.*
Work Location: Location points are used to plan tasks like removals and trims that have a specific location of work.
3. Click on the map to generate point(s) at the task location, boundary, or length
4. Once your drawing is complete remember to update any pertinent information on the task before selecting Create. Click exit to leave this view and not save new items.
