If your company uses e-mails for Callouts and Notifications and you have the Condensed functionality, you can create new alert templates for use with either full or condensed e-mail use. Condensed templates are used for employees who have text message devices which typically have a limit to the number of characters than can be received by the device. On the Employee Modify page, there is a checkbox labeled "Condensed" in the E-mail Devices table that allows you to specify that the employee receive only "Condensed" e-mail messages that are created on the E-mail/Alerts page in the Sys Admin tab. You must have "E-mail Template - Modify" permission on the Security page to use this functionality.
To Create a New E-mail Template

Click the Sys Admin tab. The main System Administration page displays.

Click the Alerts sub-tab. The main Alert Template/Alerts Admin page displays.

Click the Alert Template link. The Alert Template Admin page displays.

Click the + New Template button. The Alert Template Create page displays and ARCOS prompts you to enter a new template name.

Click OK to close the popup window.

Type a new name in the Template Name field.

Enter information in all of the appropriate fields on the page. See Alert Template Page Definitions for further information about the fields on the page.

Click Save.

Click Back to return to the Alert Template Admin page.
If creating a template that will be used for Condensed Format only
