As a payroll administrator, you are responsible for maintaining the payroll users, which are the people that have the ability to run payroll for specific payroll groups (which contain one or more locations).
Adding a Payroll User to a Payroll Group
To add a payroll user:
- Click the Locations tab.
- Select the Payroll Role link in the row corresponding to the location you want to add a user:
- RosterApps presents the Payroll Users screen showing the payroll group that this location belongs to. Click the 'Add Payroll User to this Payroll Group' link
- Enter a name to search for the employee you want to add to the Payroll role
- Select the user you want to add from the list and click the Create button
Adding a Payroll User to Multiple Payroll Groups
To add a payroll user to multiple payroll groups:
- Click the Locations tab.
- Select the Payroll Role link in the row corresponding to the location you want to add a user:
- RosterApps presents the Payroll Users screen showing the payroll group that this location belongs to. Click the 'Add Payroll User to Multiple Payroll Groups' link
- Enter a name to search for the employee you want to add to the Payroll role
- Select the user you want to add from the list and click the Next button
- Select the payroll groups that the user should be added to click the Create button.
Edit Payroll Group Assignment
To change (add or remove) the payroll groups that a specific user is assigned to:
- Click the Locations tab.
- Select the Payroll Role link in the row corresponding to the location you want to edit a payroll role assignment for:
- RosterApps presents the Payroll Users screen showing the entire list of payroll users for the associated payroll group. Select the 'Edit Assignment' link next to the user you want to modify.
- Select the checkbox next to the payroll groups that this user should be added to. Deselect the checkbox next to each payroll group that the user should be removed from. Then click the Create button.
Removing a User from a Payroll Group
To remove a payroll user from a payroll group:
- Click the Locations tab.
- Select the Payroll Role link in the row corresponding to the location you want to remove a payroll user from
- RosterApps presents the Payroll Users screen showing the entire list of payroll users for the associated payroll group. Select the 'Remove' link next to the person that you would like to remove.
- Click OK in the confirmation dialog to complete removing the payroll user.
