Once you create a shift leveling bid and select bid items, you will need to select bid participants. Bid participants are those employees that can participate in the shift leveling bid.
To select shift leveling bid participants:
- Click the Shift Leveling tab.
- Find the shift leveling bid you want to add bid items to in the table of shift leveling bids. Click the View link at the far right of that shift leveling bid’s row.
-
Click the Select Participants link.
-
RosterApps displays all employees eligible to bid on the selected bid items in a table. Below is a list of the columns in this table with descriptions:
-
Employee: The name of the employee.
-
Employee number: The employee’s unique employee number.
-
Work Group: The employee’s work group.
-
Job Title: The employee’s job title.
-
Rank: The employee’s seniority rank, dependent on the seniority method you selected when creating the shift leveling bid.
-
Seniority Method: The column header for this column will be the name of the seniority method you chose (for example, if you selected company hire date as the seniority rank type, this column header would be Company Hire Date).
-
Can Bid: This column displays a check box. Check the box to select the employee as a bid participant, or leave it unchecked to exclude the employee from the bid.
-
Round Entered: This column appears only if you are doing a Round Robin bid. Enter the round of the bid in which the employee can enter the bid. This will say 1 by default for every employee, but if you want the employee to enter the bid in round 2, enter 2 in this field.
-
Max Awards Possible: Enter the maximum number of bid items an employee can be awarded in this field.
-
Max Awards Requested: If the employee indicated that they would only like a maximum of a certain number of awards, less than the maximum awards allowed in the bid, then this column will display the maximum number of awards that they’ve requested. For example, if you have set the Max Awards Possible for this bid to 3, but an employee only wants up to 2 awards, they can indicate that when they submit their bid preferences and a two will appear in this column.
-
Preferences/Awarded/Finalized: This column displays three numbers once the employee has bid. The first number is the number of bid preferences the employee submitted. The second number is the number of preferences the employee has been awarded (this will say 0 until you’ve run the award process). The last number is the number of preferences the employee has been awarded that have been finalized (this will say 0 until you’ve run the award process and finalized awards).
