The Vehicle Crew Tracking Report provides the ability to track employees by vehicle ID. This gives the operators the ability to see where a company vehicle is currently located, where its "home" base is, what its current status is, who is currently using the vehicle, and how long they have been working. The vehicle's movements, which are tied to callouts and shift schedules, are tracked via this report. Vehicles are maintained and created on the Vehicle Maintenance page. Employees are assigned to a vehicle via Employee Modify page and selecting a vehicle from the Vehicle dropdown. The assigned vehicle ID for an employee can also be changed per a working record via Schedule Record Modify pop-up.
Vehicle
Type of company vehicle used by the employee. Can be configured one of three ways:
-
Type: A user-defined dropdown menu (bucket truck, backhoe, etc.).
-
String: A free-form textbox.
-
Vehicle ID: A user-defined dropdown that associates the employee with a specific vehicle by ID number. This ID is tied to Crew Tracking Report and Vehicle Maintenance.
Note: The vehicle is a vital part to Matched Crew Calling and Crew in the Barrel callout rules.
WARNING: If an employee is assigned a vehicle on his schedule record and his default vehicle on his employee record is changed, the employee will no longer appear on the report with the originally assigned vehicle but with the new vehicle.
Note: All changes to vehicle locations, both work and permanent, occur in real time. It is not possible to schedule future changes to vehicle work locations, or to edit vehicle work locations in the past.
Only employees who are currently working and have a vehicle assigned to their current working record will appear on the Vehicle Crew Tracking Report.
