Post Open Shifts to Trade Board

Supervisors and employees can post shifts on the trade board to be claimed by other employees on a first-come-first-served basis. You can post a single open shift to the trade board or post multiple open shifts to the trade board at once.

Post a Single Open Shift to the Trade Board

To post an open shift to the trade board:

• Click the Shift Management tab.
• Find the shift you want to post to the trade board in the Unassigned Shifts table. Click the blue text link Post to Trade Board in the open shift’s row.
  

• RosterApps opens the Post Shift to Trade Board box. Complete the sections on this page:

  • Add optional comment: Add a comment to the trade board post if you would like.

  • Allow employees to view comment: Check this box to allow employees to view your comment on the trade board.

  • Mark as priority shift: Check this box to mark the shift as priority. Checking this box adds ‘PRIORITY’ to the beginning of the comment field. If you have allowed employees to view the comment, they can see that this shift has been marked priority on the trade board. You will only see this option if your rule set allows you to mark shifts as priority.
    

  • Click OK to post the shift to the trade board or click Cancel to cancel.

 

Post Multiple Open Shifts to the Trade Board

To post multiple open shifts to the trade board:

• Click the Shift Management tab.
• Find the shifts you want to post to the trade board in the Unassigned Shifts table. Check the boxes at the far right of the rows of the shifts you want to post to the trade board. 
• Click the blue Post Checked to Trade Board button.
  
• RosterApps opens a Post Checked to Trade Board box.
  

• Enter a comment in the field, if you would like.

• Check the ‘Allow employees to view comment’ box to make your comment visible to employees on the trade board.

• Check the ‘Mark as priority shift’ box to mark the shift as priority. This adds ‘PRIORITY’ to the beginning of the comment field. If you marked the above box, employees will see that this shift is marked priority on the trade board.  You will only see this option if your rule set allows you to mark shifts as priority.

• Click OK to post to the trade board.
