Unauthorized shifts can be added to an employee's calendar via infraction handling. If an employee punches in early, punches out late, or punches in/out when they don't have a shift on their calendar, it is possible for the supervisor to create an unauthorized shift. (Note: Unauthorized shifts can only be added when there is an unauthorized hours reason that has been configured at the Company Admin level)
To edit an unauthorized shift:
- Click the Employees tab.
- Find the employee’s name in the list of employees to the left of the calendar. Click on their name to open their employee calendar.
- Find the unauthorized shift you want to edit on their calendar (it will be umber/brown in color). Click on the shift to open the shift menu.
- Click ‘Edit Unauthorized’ in the shift menu.
- RosterApps directs you to the Edit Unauthorized page
- From this screen you can either edit or clear the unauthorized shift. To edit the shift:
- Select a value from the Unauthorized Reason dropdown (these values are configured by the Company Admin)
- Add an Optional comment to include with the shift
- Select whether to Include a comment in the email sent to the employee
- Select whether to allow the employee to view the comment
- Click Submit to save the changes or Cancel to discard the changes
- To clear a shift:
- Click the Clear button. A message appears warning you that the shift will be removed from the employee's calendar:
- Click Submit to complete removing the shift.
- Click the Clear button. A message appears warning you that the shift will be removed from the employee's calendar:
