There may be a need to edit certain attributes of an employee's shift, such as the length, break, or skills. This functionality will allow for this. You can edit both past and future shifts. However, there are certain situations where you might be unable to edit past shifts:
- Earliest Shift Edit Date: The Location Admin may set an Earliest Shift Edit Date, which restricts supervisors from making any changes to shifts before this date.
- Time & Attendance: For customers using the Time & Attendance feature, once a payroll has been processed, all shifts within that payroll period are frozen and cannot be modified by supervisors.
To edit a shift:
- Click the Employees tab.
- Find the employee’s name with the shift you want to edit in the list of employees to the left of the calendar. Click on their name to open their employee calendar.
- Find the shift you want to edit on their calendar. Click on the shift to open the shift menu.
- Click ‘Edit Shift’ in the shift menu.
