Multiple customers have reported issues in Crew Manager where perspectives with large amounts of data were opening and not being auto-collapsed causing instability in the Crew Manager system. An update was pushed out to help with system responsiveness during the critical recovery efforts of Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton, forcing those items to collapse when loaded, regardless of perspective size.
When auto-collapsing was originally built, it was set up to force any perspective over a certain size to collapse to allow the data to populate as it was needed and not put excessive stress on the system. A bug was identified where when filters were saved while groupings were expanded, the system would load the perspective at the next log-in already expanded causing delays in loading time or system lock-ups to occur.
Engineering is working on a fix to make Crew Manager work as intended with auto-collapsing for all large perspectives regardless of the filter settings. We will send out more information once the resources in Crew Manager for our most affected customers have been reduced.
We sincerely apologize for this sudden change, but it was necessary to quickly resolve issues that were impacting our companies most affected by Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton.
