You have several options for editing your bid package once you’ve created it. This section describes some of those options.
Edit Package Details
The Edit Package Details feature allows you to edit some aspects of your bid package: the bid package name, bidding window start/end dates/times, and the days in advance to show shifts from open bid lines.
To edit bid package details:
- Click the Bid Packages tab.
- Click the Edit Package Details link.
-
RosterApps directs you to the Edit Bid Package page.
-
Edit the details on this page as needed. Note that you cannot change the work group, or the start and end dates of the bid package. You can change the end date of the bid package on different pages: the Extend Bid Package End Date page (Location Admin > Bid Packages tab > Edit > Extend Bid Package End Date) or the Shorten Bid Package End Date page (Location Admin > Bid Packages tab > Edit > Shorten Bid Package End Date). Below is a list of the details you can edit from the Edit Bid Package page, with descriptions:
-
Bid Package Name: The name of the bid package.
-
Bid Window Open: Select the date and time that employees can bid on this bid package. If you want the bid window open immediately, you can set this to a date in the past.
-
Bid Window Close: Select the date and time that this bid window closes.
-
Days in Advance to Show Shifts from Open Bid Lines: The number of days in advance to show open (unassigned) shifts from bid lines that do not have an employee assigned to them. These shifts will show up in supervisors’ Shift Management tabs as unassigned shifts to deal with. If you don’t want supervisors to see any of these shifts, you can enter a 0 in this field.
- Employees Allowed to Bid Regardless of Skill for Select Skills: Select this checkbox if you want to allow employees to bid on lines which they don't have the required skills.
- Employee Can Save Bid if They Selected All Available Lines: Click this checkbox to allow employees to select and save all lines when submitting their bid preferences.
