Supervisors are users that supervise employees in a work group. They handle the day-to-day changes for the work group(s) they supervise. They have the ability to view calendars of the employees they supervise, mark employees absent or late, assign shifts, and depending on their rule set may have the ability to act on behalf of employees, approve or deny trades or time off requests, and more. Supervisors can only see and make changes to/for employees in the work group(s) they supervise.
Add a Supervisor
To add a supervisor at your location:
- Click the Work Groups tab.
- Find the work group that you want to add a supervisor to in the table of work groups. Click the blue text link Supervisors in that work group’s row of the table.
- RosterApps directs you to the Supervisors for Work Group page. This page lists all of the users that are currently supervisors for the work group.

Click on the blue text link Add Supervisor to this Work Group to add them to only this single work group. If you want to add the supervisor to multiple work groups, click the blue text link Add Supervisor to Multiple Work Groups.

Enter the last name of the user you want to add as a supervisor in the search bar and click the blue Search button.

RosterApps displays all users with that last name under the search bar. Select the correct user in the list.

To add the supervisor to only this work group, click the blue Create button.

To add the supervisor to multiple work groups, click the blue Next button. RosterApps directs you to a page that displays all of the work groups at your location with check boxes beside them. Check the box(es) of the work group(s) you want to add this supervisor to. Click the blue Create button.

RosterApps returns you to the Supervisors for Work Group page, where you will see the new supervisor added to the table of supervisors.
