Trade Work Groups in RosterApps are those work groups with which an employee can trade shifts, or from which they can claim shifts. Not only do employees belong to work groups, but individual shifts also have associated work groups. Employees can only view/claim or be assigned open shifts that are associated with a work group that they have permission to trade with. For example, a supervisor goes to assign an open shift from Work Group A. Jack is in Work Group B and does not have trade permissions with Work Group A. The supervisor will not see Jack’s name in the list of possible assignees. Additionally, if the open shift from Work Group A is posted on the Trade Board or Open Shift Bid Board, Jack will not be able to see the shift, because he does not have trade permissions with Work Group A.
By default, all employee-users can trade shifts with other members of their own work group.
