Can Claim VTO Slot: Check this box to allow employees to claim voluntary time off (VTO) slots. VTO slots are created by supervisors for time periods that are overstaffed. Employees can claim these slots to volunteer to take time off (unpaid) so that the company isn’t overstaffed.
Min Hours Before Shift Start Claim: The minimum number hours before VTO slots begin that employees can claim them. For example, if you enter 2.00 in this field, employees must claim a VTO slot at least two hours before it begins. If the VTO slot begins in one hour, employees cannot claim it.
Min Hours Before Shift End Claim: The minimum number hours before VTO slots end that employees can claim them. For example, if you enter 12.00 in this field, employees must claim a VTO slot at least twelve hours before it ends. If the VTO slot ends in eleven hours, employees cannot claim it.
Max Hours Before Claim (0 = No Max): The maximum number of hours before VTO slots begin that employees can claim them. For example, if you enter 10.00 in this field, employees must claim a VTO slot within ten hours of when it begins. If the VTO slot begins in eleven hours, employees cannot claim it.
Can Cancel Claim: Check this box to allow employees to cancel VTO slot claims.
Supervisor Can Override Rules: Check this box to allow supervisors to override the rules of this rule set.
Allow Employee to View Description: Check this box to allow employees to view the description of this rule set, which you can enter in the field below. If you do not check this box you can still enter a description, but employees will not be able to view it.
