The Pointer Reset roster preference allows users to set a an exact time and day of the week the pointer will reset per roster basis.
Pointer
The Pointer "holds" the place in a callout list where the last callout ended, using a specific list and where the next callout will begin. There are two version of the Pointer method: Last Called Attempted and Last Accepted.
This means at the selected time the pointer moves to the first employee on the roster.
The pointer can be reset daily or weekly. If you use weekly, you can pick the day of the week and the time of day. If you use daily, you can pick the time of day.
-
Use the following format to have the pointer reset daily:
-
-
HHMMD: That is the hour in 24-hour time and the minutes; the D represents daily.
-
Example: If the pointer is to reset every day at 7:00 am, then 0700D should be typed in the textbox.
-
Use the following format to have the pointer reset weekly:
-
-
HHMMWn: That is the hour in 24-hour time and the minutes; the Wn represents the numeric value of the day of the week. (Note: Sunday=1, Monday=2, Tuesday=3, Wednesday=4, Thursday=5, Friday=6, and Saturday=7.)
-
Example: If the pointer is to reset at 7:00 am every Monday, then 07002 should be typed in the textbox.
