Sign-On/Sign-Off lists use one of the following sets of list statuses On-Call/Off-Call, Ask-On/Ask-Off, Preferred/Non-Preferred, or In-Barrel/Non-Barrel. Setting up a Sign-On/Sign-Off list allows employees to easily be managed and moved between the On Call and Off Call lists. Some companies allow employees to call Inbound and move themselves from Preferred to Non-Preferred status and vice versa.
Note: Sign-On/Sign-Off lists are usually used with Workgroups.
Workgroup
A roster that is manually built by the ARCOS user by adding employees based on some criteria of the company, union agreement, or user. The user can add and remove employees from the roster whenever necessary. The callout order of the roster may be based on overtime, seniority, or a manual ordering by the user. The primary classification of the employee does not matter and the list is not auto-populated in a workgroup unless SuperClass Configuration is used.
Note: Rosters that use the Rotate sort option cannot be configured as a Sign-On/Sign-Off list.

Note: Depending on your company's rules you may want to setup a Chain Delay, Pop-up Notification between chains, or determine if the sequence must be exhausted before the list is considered exhausted.
Chain Delay
A set time in minutes between sequences within a list. If a list contains two sequences, a delay can be setup in between those sequences to give employees on the first list time to call the inbound system and respond before the second sequence is called.
Note: The Chain Delay will not occur if the previous sequence did not attempt to contact any employees on the list.

Click the Submit button. The list now has two sequences, one Preferred and one Non-Preferred.

Resequence Options
When a list is sorted by overtime hours, the roster uses the previous pay period's hours or the previous week's hours. Which of the case may be, the Resequence Options are used to determine when new hours will be applied to the list and when the list resort the employees who are on it. Resequence Options consist of four parts Base Date, Period, NumRosters, and Cascade.
Resequence Options
-
BaseDate: First effective date the roster will use hours from. (Note: This must be a date in the past.) When the effective date (determined by the Base Date) and time for loaded O/T hours arrives, rosters are updated and sorted according to the new hours.
Note: The Base Date must be in the following format: mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm (24-hour time).
-
Period: The length, in days, until the next resequence. This tells ARCOS how often you want the list to resort and apply new hours.
Note: This value is expressed in days, so for example, 2 weeks would be entered as 14 (days). A fraction of a day may also be used; the only fraction of a day settings that are available are 1/2 (half a day), 1/3 (third of a day), and 1/4 (quarter of a day).
-
NumRosters: Displays how many future roster periods should be maintained, including the current one.
Note: This field can accommodate an integer between 2 and 52. Decimals and fractions are not allowed.
Note: When creating a Sign-On/Sign-Off list this field determines the number of list going forward employees can be pre-assigned to an On or Off list status.
-
Cascade: Determines whether or not the changes made in the current roster are carried forward into future list. (If checked any changes made to the current list will carry over to the next list.)
Note: If Cascade is unchecked when a list resequence, all employees will be removed from the future list.
-
ExSortPref: When enabled, changes in Sort Preferences do not cascade to future lists.
Example 1: If hours worked from Monday, April 25, 2011 07:00 - Monday, May 9, 2011 07:00 are supposed to be used to sort list for 2 weeks with the first day the list will use the hours being Monday, May 9, 2011 07:00, the Resequence Options should be set to:
-
-
BaseDate: 04/25/2011 07:00
-
Period: 14
-
NumRosters: 2 (Unless roster will be used for Sign-on list or an On-call list, then you may want to be able to see more list at a time.)
-
Cascade: Should be checked if employee changes will carry forward to future lists.
-
Example 2: If hours worked from Monday, April 25, 2011 00:00 - Monday, May 2, 2011 00:00 are supposed to be used to sort list for 2 weeks with the first day the list will use the hours being Monday, May 2, 2011 00:00, the Resequence Options should be set to:
-
-
BaseDate: 04/25/2011 00:00
-
Period: 7
-
NumRosters: 2 (Unless roster will be used for Sign-on list or an On-call list, then you may want to be able to see more list at a time.)
-
Cascade: Should be checked if employee changes will carry forward to future lists.
-
Note: If list is not suppose to resequence, remove the Base Date and/or NumRosters value.
Note: The Resequence Options will need to be exactly the same for the Non-Preferred list. All other options may be different.
