Since each Day View displays many different types of records, each employee record is color coded. See the table below for a list of the colors and their meaning. The table also includes other special characters and their meaning.
Text Color |
Explanation |
Black |
Originally scheduled regular shift. |
Red |
Originally scheduled regular shift has been modified. |
Green |
A schedule exception. For example, an employee is sick. |
Green -- |
When green text is followed by --, the end time for the exception spans more than one day. |
Gray |
A normal shift that will not be worked. It includes any shift or portion thereof that is overridden by some kind of exception. See Shift Masking. |
Blue |
An employee is on a callout or other unplanned work. |
Brown |
An employee is on holdover, working past their normal shift. |
Brown ** |
When brown text is followed by **, the end time for the shift is currently unknown. |
Pink |
A note. This is a record on the employee's schedule that does not affect their availability for callouts. |
Purple |
An activity. This is a record on the employee's schedule that does not affect their availability for callouts. |
** |
Two asterisks as an end time - a vacation or sick record created by calling IB will auto-extend until the employee is released. The record created on the scheduler will not auto-extend but will still have ** displayed as the end time unless the employee is released. |
Yellow Highlight |
