When you are in Day view mode, you can filter lists for customized viewing, modify, add, copy, and delete schedule records, and adjust existing schedule records by sliding the record to the left or to the right a specified amount of time. ARCOS has three Day views from which to choose: 14 Day View, 7 Day View, and 1 Day View.
The 14 Day View and 7 Day View contain the same functions and show the same information. The 1 Day View shows the same information as the other day views plus listing the Classification and the Level 4 location for each employee. Companies who track vehicle, radio, or supervisor information have columns for each on the 1 Day View as well. The buttons in both the Selector and Tools sections remain the same in all three Day Views.
The 14 Day View and 7 Day View display detailed information concerning the various statuses of employees, such as schedule records, callouts and holdovers worked, schedule exceptions (vacation, sick, etc.) scheduled and taken, modified shifts and scheduled shift time missed. Some companies also include a Supervisor column on their Day view pages.
Callout
The process of requesting employees to work during their off hours or for non-shift work, usually contacted by phone and/or pagers.
Holdover
Holdover, also know as Continuous Day, Extension of Shift, or Extended Day, is defined as the time that an employee is working beyond the end of their shift. In the event an employee is held over past their normal shift, an authorized user must update ARCOS with this information so that the employee is not called at home (since they are still at work).
These views also allow the modification of existing records (work statuses and schedule exceptions) and creation of new records.
For companies who use track crews and vehicles, there is a vehicle column in the 1 Day View that displays the default vehicle that is assigned to the employee. If there is no vehicle in the column, the employee is does not have a default assigned vehicle.
Some companies further customize the 1 Day View or the 2 Day View, adding columns for Supervisor, Duty Phone, Crew Type, Shift, and/or Band.
