This feature allows you to create an employee supervisor report, based on supervisor assignments made on the Employee Add or Employee Modify page. Employees can be designated as a supervisor of other employees by selecting the supervisor checkbox on the Employee Add or Employee Modify page. An employee's supervisor is set by selecting the supervisor from the Reports To dropdown in the same section on the Employee Add or Employee Modify page. Access to this report is controlled on the Security page on the Employee Table by turning on or off the Employee-Supervisor Report option. This allows or disallows access to the Supervisor Hierarchy Report.
The report shows a multi-level hierarchical view of all supervisors in the chosen locations and the employees they supervise. The employee names in the Name column contain a link that takes you to the Employee Modify page (if you have proper security permission for that functionality) for the selected employee. The locations of all supervisors and employees will also be displayed. If a supervisor has reports that are not in the chosen locations, those reports will not be shown but the supervisor's name will be marked with an asterisk (*). Follow the instructions below to create a Supervisor Hierarchy Report.
