Employees cannot ask to have their PIN or password set to a specific number or ask what their current PIN or password is, because that information is not available to other ARCOS users. However, if an employee forgets either login or needs to change his PIN or Password, either one can be set back to the default by an authorized user. Once the PIN or Password is set back to the default, the employee can go into the VRU system or the ARCOS Web interface and set it again to whatever they desire, as long as it follows the constructs for passwords (See ARCOS Security). Follow the instructions below to reset the PIN or the Password for an employee.
Resetting the VRU PIN
By default, the initial VRU PIN for each employee is 1234. ARCOS prompts employees to change the VRU PIN the first time they use the Inbound VRU System. When the PIN is reset by an ARCOS user, it again defaults to 1234. Whenever the VRU identifies the employee's PIN as 1234, it prompts the employee to change his PIN to another 4-digit number.
