VLG Over Limit Alert

This alert type is part of the ARCOS Vacation Management Module. The VlgLimitAlert, for VLG Over Limit Alerts, is triggered by a modification to the VLG that causes an over-limit condition. For example, when an employee's Primary Class or Location is changed in ARCOS, the employee is moved to the respective VLG, if the employee has a previously scheduled vacation record on a day that is already at limit for the VLG the move will cause the VLG to be over the limit and will trigger the VLGLimitAlert.

Primary Class

A Primary Class is an employee's job title or skill associated with a roster. An employee can have only one primary job classification; however, he can be on rosters for other job classifications as well as other workgroups. ARCOS automatically configures rosters for each defined Job Classification.

To Subscribe a User to Location

1. Click the Alerts tab on the Sys Admin module.

2. Click the Alerts by Location link in the Alerts Admin column on the Alerts page. The Alerts Admin by Location page displays.

3. Select the location or locations you wish to view and click the Submit button. The list of employees currently assigned in that location display.

   

4. Click Add Employees for Alerts.

5. Select the employee from the Employee dropdown list.

6. Click the checkbox for the VLGLimitAlert column to subscribe the employee.

7. Click the Save button.

Note: An employee must be enabled to receive Alerts before they can be enabled to receive System-Wide Alerts. See Enabling an Employee for details.
