Prior to creating a SIREN Mass Callout, verify ARCOS either a) has the data set that you wish to call available for use, or b) you have a data file containing at minimum: contacts' names, phone numbers, and/or e-mail addresses. To create a SIREN Mass Callout:
To Create a SIREN Mass Call Event

Click the Create button on the SIREN Mass Call tab. ARCOS displays MassCall Event Create page.
Note: You may receive a security pop-up for the custom message applet. Check the Always trust content from this publisher checkbox and click run. This will allow the applet to run automatically whenever you access the Message Detail page.

Type the name of the SIREN Mass Callout event in the Name textbox.
Note: This field requires at least 8 characters.

Type the description of the SIREN Mass Callout event in the Description textbox. Information in this field will only be seen by users who have web access to SIREN Mass Calls.
Note: This field is a required field.

Select a custom message from the Custom Msg dropdown -OR-
Click the Enable Wave2Web/TTS link, to create a new custom message from the Create SIREN Mass Call Event page.

Click the Record button to record a new message, and skip to step 6, -OR-
Click the TTS button to create a new message using Text-to-Speech.

Type the new message text in the textbox that appears.

Select the desired Voice and Speed from the appropriate dropdowns.

Click the Convert button. ARCOS will automatically play the message back.

Repeat steps 3-4 until satisfied with the recording.

Click the Upload button. ARCOS displays a pop-up stating a custom message description is needed.

Click OK on the pop-up. The Custom Msg dropdown turns into a textbox.

Type the name of the new custom message in the Custom Msg textbox.

Click the OK button, next to the textbox.
Note: This field is a required field.

Type the message that will be sent via e-mail in the Custom E-mail/Txt textbox.

Click on the Run Time calendar picker to select a time in the future the event will run.
Note: When the event is initiated, it will appear in Pending status, on the View Open Mass Call Events page until the schedule run time.

Select a data set from the DataSet dropdown - OR -
Click the Create link, to upload a new data set for the SIREN Mass Callout event. To upload a new data set

Click the Choose File button, next to the Upload File field. A Windows file viewer pop-up appears.

Locate the file in the Window file viewer pop-up.
Note: Files must be in .CSV, .DAT, or .TXT format.

Click the Open button.

Click in the DataSet File Name textbox. ARCOS automatically fills the textbox with the name of the file. You can change the name from here if you wish.

Add additional text to the DataSet Description textbox, if desired, ARCOS auto-populates the textbox with the date/time the file was uploaded along with the file's name.

Click the Submit button.

Click and drag column headers to match the columns in the file.

Check the checkbox next to the first row, if the row contains the column headers for the file.

Check the Ignore checkbox at the top of each column you do not want to include in the upload.

Click the Start Upload button, located at the bottom of the page.
Note: The file will not upload if there are more than 10 errors within the file.

Click the Save button.

Click the Initiate button to start calling contacts.
