Wave to Web is an ARCOS feature that enables Custom Messages to be recorded directly from a PC. User's can record messages directly on their PC, upload it to the VRU , and launch a callout or notification with the newly created custom message already selected.
Voice Response Unit (VRU)
Voice Response Unit (VRU). The VRU is the system that handles all phone calls for ARCOS. In order for employees to respond to callouts when called by ARCOS or to call in to ARCOS regarding callouts or updating certain information, they must login to the VRU through the phone with their VRU ID and personal identification number (PIN).
Custom Messages are saved and can be reused on ARCOS. If a message is considered temporary, it can be tagged to be purged after 24 or 48 hours, depending on your company's settings. Messages can also be played for review on the PC before uploading to the VRU.
In order to use the Wave to Web feature, users must have a microphone, a sound card, and a PC that is capable of accepting a Java applet.
Custom Messages can also be recorded via the Inbound VRU.
